Rufus the guide dog visits stone bay

Pupils at Stone Bay School were recently inspired by a visit from Aaron and his guide dog, Rufus. Aaron spoke to pupils about what it means to live with visual impairment and how guide dogs help people navigate the world safely and independently.
During the visit, pupils had the opportunity to meet Rufus and learn about the important training guide dogs receive. Aaron explained how Rufus helps him in everyday life and answered pupils’ thoughtful questions about the partnership between a guide dog and its owner.
The visit was both engaging and educational, helping pupils better understand how guide dogs support people with sight loss. Inspired by Aaron and Rufus, the school is now hoping to sponsor a Guide Dogs puppy, allowing pupils to follow the puppy’s journey as it trains to become a future guide dog. 🐕🦺
Stone Bay School would like to thank Aaron and Rufus for such an inspiring and memorable visit.
