Music Therapy
Meet Harriette: Music Therapist
Hariette is a registered Music Therapist who works with us at Stone Bay School one day per week. Music Therapy is an evidence-based approach that uses music as a powerful tool to address the emotional, cognitive, and social needs of our pupils.
For children and young people, it offers a unique and engaging pathway to express emotions, improve communication, and support essential developmental skills. By actively incorporating musical activities - such as singing, playing instruments, and listening - Music Therapy helps pupils to explore and process their feelings, effectively reduce anxiety, and build strong self-esteem.
Hariette's sessions are highly personalised to each pupil's individual profile, ensuring that the work is focused directly on addressing their specific target areas for development.
