Rebound Therapy

Allison Bussey is an HLTA and Rebound Therapist, she is also currently training to be a level 3 Forest school leader.

Allison has been working in education for nearly 12 years.

Rebound is a form of exercise for students with disabilities using a full-size specialist trampoline.

The sessions are one to one, and can last to up to 30 minutes per session, depending on the student’s needs. Sessions currently run one day a week, with a morning group and an afternoon group. The sessions can last between 8-12 weeks, again depending on the students’ progress.

We’ve seen great progression already, over such a short period of time.

The benefits of Rebound are to facilitate movement, promote balance. promote an increase or decrease in muscle tone, promote relaxation, promote sensory integration, improve fitness and exercise tolerance, and to improve communication skills.

Rebound also supports the development of spatial awareness, coordination, self-confidence, reaction speed and a sense of achievement.

There are so many benefits of Rebound therapy!
