Stone Bay Uniform
Stone Bay School uniform is not compulsory, our main priority is that all our pupils are comfortable and happy at school. We want the students to wear clothes that aid their independence and personal development skills.
EYFS, KS1, KS2 & KS3 Curriculum (Year R to Year Year 9)
- Black Tracksuit Bottoms, Trousers, Shorts, Skirt or Pinafore
- Yellow (or White) Polo T-shirt
- Royal Blue Jumper, Sweatshirt or Fleece (preferably non hooded)
- Yellow or Blue Summer Dress
- Waterproof Jacket & Trousers
- Sun cap or warm hat according to season
- Velcro Trainers or Shoes (Crocs or slippers for the classroom for pupils who are reluctant to wear shoes would also be advised)
The uniform is a recommendation and not compulsory. Our priority is that every pupil at Stone Bay School feels safe, happy and comfortable and able to learn skills for independence. The Stone Bay logo on clothing is optional not compulsory. Your child/young person will also need appropriate sportswear clothing according to the activities they are accessing in school e.g. swimming items / gym wear (Black shorts and white T-shirt)
Post 14 Curriculum (ages 16-19)
Older students do not need to wear a school uniform. Instead students will need to consider what is suitable clothing according to their personalised curriculum. We encourage students in the post 14 curriculum stage to develop the skills to identify and wear appropriate clothes for the weather and tasks they are engaging in at school that day. We also encourage them to develop the skills to decide upon appropriate clothing that will be respectful and comfortable to learn in.
Please label all items of clothing with your child/young person’s name to avoid confusion, especially coats and shoes. This will ensure that items are easily found and returned to you if there are any mix-ups. Not all children/young people will recognise their own belongings, so please help us to manage this.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.
